What to include on a bakery or cake invoice
Identify your business and customer, then list each cake, pastry, dozen, decoration, delivery fee or other agreed charge separately. Show the invoice date, payment due date, subtotal, applicable tax, payments already received and the final balance.
Separate deposits from the total
A deposit confirms money already received; it should not be confused with a discount. Record the full agreed order value, calculate any applicable tax, then subtract the amount already paid so the customer can see the remaining balance.
Check your local requirements
Invoice, tax and recordkeeping requirements depend on where and how your bakery operates. Confirm whether you need a registration number, particular tax wording, sequential invoice numbers or specific retention periods. The template does not decide whether a tax applies.
